This Privacy Policy explains how Yomu (the “App”) handles user information.
1. Information we use
To create reply suggestions, Yomu uses the conversation text you review, the relationship, reply goal, writing-style settings, and app language. Screenshot text recognition happens on your device. Screenshot images, display names, and profile pictures are not sent to the AI service.
2. Information sent to AI
When you generate replies, the conversation text and settings above are sent to the OpenAI API. The App asks for explicit consent before the first transmission. You can withdraw this permission at any time in Settings.
3. Storage and retention
Yomu servers do not store conversation text, screenshots, or generated reply history. To prevent abuse and control costs, we retain a random installation identifier, a one-way transformed value derived from connection information, and daily AI usage counts for up to 35 days. Monthly totals without an identifier may be retained for cost management. Writing-style settings, AI consent, and a random quota identifier are stored on your device. Temporary images created by the share extension are deleted after text recognition. The API provider’s data-use policies apply to its processing.
4. Purchase information
To confirm Yomu Pro access and restore purchases, Yomu obtains and verifies Apple-issued product information, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and signed transaction information. Yomu does not receive credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials. Apple processes billing and payment.
5. Sharing and tracking
We do not sell or disclose user information to third parties except as needed to generate replies. We do not use advertising tracking.
6. Deleting data
In the App, choose Settings and “Delete style and consent data” to remove your writing-style settings and AI consent. The random quota identifier is retained to prevent repeated claims of the free allowance. Daily usage counts are kept as one-way transformed values for up to 35 days and do not directly identify you. Yomu stores no account or conversation history, so there is no separate account-deletion process.

AI-generated replies may contain errors. Yomu does not claim to know another person’s feelings, affection, or intent. Review each suggestion and use your own judgment. In urgent or dangerous situations, contact someone you trust or an appropriate local service.
